beginning sewing

a little embroidery

Sometimes while I’m doing a little sewing, Lukas likes to help out too, so I set him up with some embroidery. All it takes is:

One hoop

Some fabric

Some embroidery thread

A blunt needle

Then I show him how to go up and down through the fabric. Sometimes he forgets and goes the same way twice… but he is very pleased anyway, and I love to see him working on a craft. It also reminds me that things don’t have to be perfect or done “right” to be enjoyed. Hmmm, it’s something I need to be reminded of quite often.
