Djubaya reads the Secret Seahorse

Djubaya reads the Secret Seahorse

I love it when friends visit. Especially friends with kids. What a treat when Deb, Djubaya and little Talise came by the other day after breakfast at the Tea Room Café. Djubaya entertained with stories, Deb talked of recent activist exploits, we outnumbered the kids 4 to 2, and I really felt normal again. (I do believe the outnumbering the kids 4-2 and having at least 2 kids is key to this feeling) We noticed a photo of Deb and me that was pasted on our wall from before we had the kids “we were clueless!” she says with a smile! After storytime, little Talise went into our room with Lukas, took off his shoes, put a cloth diaper cover on over her pants, grabbed a pacifier and the two babes crawled into our bed together and pulled up the covers.

Hey Karen ~ I just came across your blog via your facebook postings! I had no idea! How do you find the time?? What a wonderful entry, btw 🙂 That was such a lovely visit…and ys, isn’t it odd and exciting when you suddenly feel like your having ‘normal’ adult conversations again?!
For some reason I couldn’t see the pic of our two little ones playing sleep time… so do send if you get a chance!
Greetings from Portland btw! We are on our grand road trip to Canada! Back in CA in a couple of weeks 🙂
