kid pants in progress—finally!

cords!

adding the pocket binding

Lukas is down to two pairs of pants that aren’t highwaters and low in “the back”. How could this have happened? So we must now start sewing pants! L and I work on the pocket pants from Growing Up Sew Liberated today and I finally finish them tonight. He can wear them tomorrow, and if they fit correctly and feel comfortable all day, then we will make more!  These pants have finished “no-itch” seams and cute front pockets for treasures. They are certainly long enough right now and the cuffs can be unstitched and rolled further down when the inevitable growth occurs. I used two fabrics I found at the thrift store, which makes them even better. Lukas was totally into the process and played “mouse in a fire engine” in the sewing room while I worked on them, occasionally making comments and checking progress.

Karen! These look great! Can’t believe you made them in a day! Inspiring as usual!
    Thank you!
